FEATURED JOB: 1 x Team Lead | 5 x Mid/Senior Ruby on Rails Developers

Devonshire has partnered with one of the worlds largest digital publishing companies to build a UK based Ruby on Rails development team from the ground up.

This is a huge step for the business. The team is going to be responsible for delivering a number of projects including a number of new features, functionalities and complex web based applications for the companies’ flagship website which attracts on average over 4 million unique visitors per month.

We are looking to speak with a number of Ruby on Rails developers at all levels, depending on your experience we would be introducing you to the client as a:

1. Lead Developer/SCRUM Master or
2. Mid/Senior Developer

Joining as a Lead Developer/SCRUM Master your position will vary from getting your hands dirty coding, refining Agile processes, building a world class development team to planning the technical roadmap.

Joining as a Mid/Senior Developer you will be responsible for delivering a range of projects from building a number of new features, functionalities and complex web based applications for the companies’ flagship, high traffic website to making key improvements/evolving the internal platform.

Your ideal technical skill set

• Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Sinatra
• Exposure to Java, JRuby or Perl
• Exposure to Continuous Integration tools, Agile development methods (TDD/BDD)
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• MySQL
• Capistrano
• Git
