AdRoc Group is currently working with a small London based development team who were acquired by a NASDAQ listed organisation last year, the parent company employs around 500 people and turns over in excess of $100 Million a year.
They are looking for a Senior Developer who is not only experienced in Ruby but expresses an interest in other languages. Someone who is willing to step outside of their comfort zone and choose a functional programming language and enjoy pairing in order to better solve a problem and improve their skills would be the ideal candidate.
You will work on a wide range of projects including improving their backend services; a platform that currently manages millions of data points per day from thousands of individuals, organisations & companies around the world.
You will also help them add features and innovate on their consumer and community facing Ruby on Rails website.
The team take great pride in their engineering practices. They adhere to Scrum and follow a bi-weekly sprint cycle. However, due to their high levels of automation and testing, deployment is near continuous. You’ll be working with a wide range of technologies including but not limited to:
• Ruby/Ruby on Rails
• PostgreSQL, Cassandra and Redis
• Node.js EventMachine and RabbitMQ
• Git for source code management
Every week the close knit team commit to a hack day to research new frameworks/other technologies..
