HEAD OF UK DEVELOPMENT - GLOBAL MEDIA/ADVERTISING

Head of Development | £55,000 - £65,000 + Bonus + Benefits | London

Following the significant expansion of my client’s UK online presence, they are actively recruiting a Head of Development for the UK operation to join the London office.

Reporting directly to the CTO who is based in the companies European office you will be responsible for the UK’s development, strategic planning and maintenance of a number of high profile internal websites/tools.

Key accountabilities

• Overseeing the Full System Development Lifecycle within the Agile/SCRUM environment.
• Agreeing the company’s technical direction with the European Technical Director.
• Coordinating with the development, quality assurance, operations, product management and business representatives to ensure that the teams are meeting stakeholder needs.
• Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends.
• Close coordination with the Management and CTO to ensure best practices are in place.

Your knowledge, skills and experience

• A very strong programming background in Java, Perl or Ruby on Rails (preferred).
• Excellent knowledge of designing, building and deploying business applications for internal business use.
• A thorough understanding of Object Oriented Analysis & Design principles.
• Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple simultaneous assignments involving teams from multiple locations.
• Extensive experience in leading Agile/SCRUM teams.
