Entrepreneurial Ruby on Rails Developers required | Manchester | E-commerce sector | Salary depends on experience | Immediate start preferred

Our Manchester based client operates within the online/e-commerce area. Due to aggressive growth they currently require a number of Midlevel/Senior Ruby on Rails Developers to join the fast paced team.

The company employs some of the most well know, highly skilled Ruby on Rails Developers in the UK. They work on a range of projects delivering micro-sites, web applications to internal web tools using strict Agile programming methodologies on a bi-weekly sprint cycle.

The development team is currently 10+; however projects are delivered in small agile/lean teams which are lead by Senior SCRUM Masters. You will have the chance to work on the full SDLC in a thriving entrepreneurial workplace.

Skills needed

• Commercial Ruby/Ruby on Rails experience (ideally 18 months)
• Agile/TDD exposure
• Knowledge of RSpec/Cucumber
• Linux, Ubuntu, Mac OSX
• JavaScript (JQuery)
• HTML, CSS
• Git/SVN
• 2.1 or above in Computer Science or other related degree

Lastly you will be a real team player as our client are going to be running a training academy for another 6-8 keen developers who have no commercial experience in Ruby who want to cross-train into Ruby Gurus. This means you may well be mentoring/pairing with Junior Developers.
