Devonshire is working with a small, fast growing private equity funded start up who are in the process of building a strong UK Rails team.. The London office requires a Midlevel/Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to start as soon as possible.
You will work alongside 2-3 other Rubyists to deliver a number of key projects for external clients using all the latest tools/technologies. This is a permanent position with the option to work remotely two/days a week after three months onsite.
Skills needed:
• 2+years Ruby/Ruby on Rails commercial exposure.
• Linux, Ubuntu, Capistrano
• MySQL
• Mongo_DB
• Strong JavaScript (JQuery/Prototype)
• HTML, CSS.
• Git/SVN

Ruby on Rails Developer | North London| £35,000 to £45,000 | Media
Devonshire is working with a leading London based Media firm to grow the New Product Development team. This flagship division focus on the delivery of small web based apps and tools for the internal business using strict Agile (TDD) methods with release cycles on a bi-weekly basis. These applications are used on a global scale.
The team has already hired a number of experienced Rubyists this year however due to the rapid app development aspects Ruby/Ruby on Rails brings to the table against Java, Perl etc it is set to become my clients primary programming language moving forward.
Although the team is a reasonable 5-10 Developers strong; there is still room for a bright Rails enthusiast to make a big impact.
Skills needed:
• 18 months+ Ruby/Ruby on Rails commercial exposure.
• Linux, Ubuntu, MAC.
• MySQL
• Exposure to TDD methods using RSpec
• JavaScript (JQuery/Prototype)
