Our new client who operates within the Social Media/Networking space has just briefed us on one of the most exciting Rails jobs to be released this year.

If you’re a Senior Ruby, Ruby on Rails Developer who has experience in developing high traffic, scalable customer facing websites – give me a call – this job is guaranteed to excite you!

Our clients customer facing site already attracts in excess of 5-6 million users per month and have attracted a serious amount of positive press coverage from the likes of Tech Crunch, New Media Age and a number of leading publishing firms – all of them excited to see what’s next…….

The customer-facing site and niche social networking platform was released a few months back. The server side element of the site and social networking platform was built exclusively using Rails within a strict BDD environment using RSpec, Cucumber.

They are now looking for someone to join and maintain the existing applications, add new functionalities, integrate 3rd party API’s and create new features which will be used by millions. Once settled you will be expected to take a lead role on all new project driven work.

About you

• Extensive (18 months+) commercial experience using Ruby (up to v1.8.7) and Rails (v2.3/3.0) to deliver scalable web sites/applications
• Exposure to Agile (BDD) using RSpec, Cucumber or Factory_Girl
• Solid knowledge of RESTful web services
• Frontend – AJAX/JavaScript (JQuery)
• Knowledge of DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself) principals and the benefits

In addition - any team lead experience would be seen as an advantage
