Ruby on Rails Developers | £45,000 + Options

A niche technology driven start up backed by the same VC firm who invested in Last.FM, LinkedIn, Facebook and Skype in their early days are looking for a number of Ruby/Ruby on Rails Developers to join the London team in January 2011.

You will work within a small team to add additional functionalities to the existing application/customer facing site, implement a number of RESTful API’s and deliver a number of web based tools which will be used by the other employees, 1000’s of business partners and millions of customers.

Your skill set:

• 2 years Ruby 1.8.7+/ 2 years Rails 2.3+
• Solid understanding of OOP/OOD principles
• Exposure to Agile, SCRUM, XP, TDD or BDD methods
• Exposure to RSpec, Cucumber or Shoulda.
• Solid frontend scripting: XHTML, CSS, JavaScript (JQuery)
• Use of github for source code management

Nice to have:

• Experience in developing high transactional, high availability websites/applications/systems
• An interest in Kanban - Continuous Integration/Lean Programming methods
