Social Networking/SaaS

Devonshire is looking for a number of Midlevel and Senior Ruby on Rails Developers to join our client, a central London based social networking and publishing firm.

This client has been using Ruby/Rails for a number of years. They have two main areas of the business 1) a large scale social networking site 2) a SaaS platform which is used by some of the UK’s most recognised companies.

As a member of a small, agile Rails team you will work within a BDD environment using RSpec/Cucumber to ensure maximum test coverage on new versions of the SaaS platform and deliver new features/functionalities to the existing social networking site from concept to launch.

Your ideal skill set:

2 + years Ruby/Ruby on Rails
A background in delivering projects using TDD/BDD methods – RSpec/Cucumber
Knowledge of Capistrano, Redis.
Experience in scaling (Memcache)
Exposure to Large MySQL / PostgreSQL databases
XHTML, CSS, JavaScript (JQuery)
Paperclip, HAML
