Devonshire is looking for a number of experienced Ruby/Rails Developers to join our established Media and Advertising client based in Oxford Circus.

I’ve worked with this client for a number of years; they were one of the first companies in London to hire someone with the title “Ruby on Rails Developer” and have never looked back.

When joining you will deliver a number of rails applications from concept to launch for the internal business and external clients which helps the company retain there competitive edge, helping them to remain at the forefront of the Media and Advertising market.

The team have daily stand ups, work to bi-weekly sprint cycles, with regular releases using a test first approach. Due to the number of projects planned for 2011/12 you will be expected to build a team and lead large scale projects towards the end of 2011.

Your ideal skill set:

2 years Ruby/Ruby on Rails experience
Exposure to using git for source code management
Good understanding of SQL/MySQL DB’s
TDD methods using Shoulda or factory girl
Frontend scripting - HTML/CSS/Javascript: Prototype, Scriptaculous, JQuery
Linux - Ubuntu, nginx
Capistrano

If you have experience of taking a Rails application from v1 to v2,v3 etc etc etc – please shout about it when applying.
