Devonshire are urgently seeking yet another experienced Ruby on Rails Developer with experience in building large scale e-commerce sites/applications to join our SW London based e-commerce client.
Established over 5 years ago, they were backed by the same investors as Last.FM, LinkedIn and Facebook – now they are one of the UK’s fastest growing companies, have won numerous awards and regularly feature in a number of press pages.
As apart of this fast growing team you will deliver the internationalisation and localisation (i18n) of the current customer facing website/application, add new functionalities to the existing application/customer facing site, implement a number of RESTful API’s/web based tools which will be used by the other employees, 1000’s of business partners and millions of customers.
The team use Agile methods, work to weekly sprint cycles, have a decent sized burn down board, use git for source code management, Hudson for the CI server and you are free to choose whatever dev environment suits you. (Mac, Lunix or ……… Windows if you must).
Your ideal skill set:
2 + years Ruby/Ruby on Rails
Exposure to TDD environments
RSpec, Cucumber or Shoulda.
XHTML, CSS, JavaScript (JQuery)
An interest in Continuous Integration/Lean Programming methods
